Initially headed for a week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico My husband and I had decided to change our vacation plans. after learning of Hurricane Rick, a category 5 storm, bearing down on Cabo the evening before our departure. We instead decided on an unplanned road trip through California,
Driving through Yosemite, we marveled at the magnificence surrounding us. Next stop– San Diego. Balboa Park captivated us with its many gardens and museums but the best part of the trip was seeing “Angel Girl”.
I was photographing a church in San Diego’s Old Town section when Mark, my husband, instructed me to “Look UP!” Lo and behold, a beautiful Angel, created out of the wispy clouds in the sky, hovered over the church. I looked up after we had crossed into the Old Town National Park, and there she was still watching over us! Her presence comforted me, as I’ve long been a believer in Angels. Our unplanned trip turned out to be one filled with surprises and delight!
